The insulation, heating and glazing systems uses as standard in our holiday homes are designed to ensure your overall comfort in all weather conditions. However, with extended park opening periods and rising fuel bills, many owners are looking for ways in which to further bolster the thermal and energy efficient properties of their holiday home...
A gas central heating system with an electric fire* and condensing combi boiler can be specified in all Willerby holiday homes, and is fitted as standard in certain models. Please refer to the Model Comparison Guide.
Our heating systems also feature radiators with individual control valves (excluding those in the hallway, bath/shower rooms and en-suite), allowing you to control the temperature of different areas of your holiday home.
*A gas fire can be specified in place of an electric fire in the majority of models. Please note this may alter TV location.
Where central heating is supplied, an 'A' rated high efficiency condensing combi boiler will also be included. These high quality boiler systems are typically 20% more efficient than a traditional non-condensing model, making the fuel you're burning to heat your holiday home go further.
During the cold winter months your holiday home is often exposed to extreme weather conditions and, like any domestic property, your water and central heating pipes can be susceptible to frost damage. To reduce the threat of frozen pipes, we now offer Trace Heating as an option on all our holiday homes.
A self-regulating electrical heating cable is run along the pipework underneath your holiday home, providing a constant source of warmth, thereby reducing the threat of the pipework freezing. Thermostatically controlled, the cable will only ever energise when the temperature drops below 5°C*.
Trace Heating systems are known for their reliability and efficiency - being self-regulating, they can never overheat and have very low running costs. They can also negate the need to drain down your holiday home when not in use, providing that the electricity supply is not interrupted.**
* This temperature is the standard factory setting. If the consumer chooses to change this setting, this product may no longer be covered by your Willerby Warranty. ** The operation of a Trace Heating system is entirely dependent upon continuous electricity supply. Check with your supplier to ensure that the electricity supply is maintained during the winter season, including park closure period.
Willerby leads the industry in terms of environmental excellence, and is committed to the ongoing development of operationally-efficient holiday homes that have a minimal impact on our environment. Our optional Eco Pack is designed to reduce both water and energy consumption, saving you money.
Fitted as standard on the Vogue, the Eco Pack can be specified on all other Willerby models, and includes:
Independent tests show that as soon as you switch on your boiler, the first ten litres used in the process of heating water are wasted. As such, more gas than is needed is burnt, excess carbon is produced and time is wasted.
CombiSave is a thermostatically operated valve that can be fitted to a combi boiler. By controlling the flow of water during the initial firing process, CombiSave accelerates the heating of water and reduces the amount of fuel required – thereby helping the environment, and saving you time and money!
* Please note that this device can only be fitted on a combi boiler, and is therefore only available on holiday homes where central heating is either fitted as standard, or has been specified as an option.
