This month, we’re visiting family-run Hurleyford Farm Caravan Park, situated on the picturesque south bank of the River Thames, midway between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow.

Hurleyford Farm Caravan Park is set in mature parkland, surrounded by farmland.

The four-star Visit England-rated park has held the David Bellamy GOLD Award for conservation for almost 20 years. The award is only given to parks that can demonstrate their active concern for wildlife and the environment.

The family-run business prides itself on running a peaceful and tranquil park, where customers can relax and enjoy the beauty of their surroundings.

The riverside location makes the child-free park the ideal setting to relax and unwind, set in the ancient village of Hurley.

The mature trees around the park are full of nesting birds in spring, and a lot of holiday home owners like to put up their own bird boxes. Red kites and green parakeets are common, along with squirrels, rabbits, swans, ducks and many more.

Every holiday home has its own private fenced garden and throughout the summer cattle and sheep can be seen in the surrounding fields.
