Whitley Bay

Set on the rugged North Sea Coast, Whitley Bay was once a 19th-century mining and fishing settlement. Today, however, it has grown to become one of the UK’s most popular caravan destinations.

Whitley Bay Beach is the star of the show.

A two-mile Blue Flag Beach speckled with rocky crops nestles into a quaint harbour at Cullercoats. This is the place to walk and take in clear views of St. Mary’s Lighthouse. Away from the coast, you’ll find Seaton Delval Hall, the ‘Spanish City’ concert hall, and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Tynemouth Park and Castle also make for a fabulous day trip.
